Program: Snohomish County Emergency Radio System (SERS)
Providing countywide public safety radio communications
SERS is an inter-local public safety agency responsible for providing two-way radio, fire station alert paging, radio dispatch consoles and our own wireless systems for Snohomish County, WA.
Calling the aging 911 radio system the most important public safety issue facing Snohomish County, County Council members voted unanimously to place a request on the November ballot for an additional 1/10th of 1% in sales tax to fund radio system upgrades: Countywide Proposition 1. A majority of voters must agree for this funding to be available.
Lynnwood City Administrator, Art Ceniza, will give an introduction to SERS and the radio system.
Rosemary O’Neil, SERS public affairs consultant, will present a short video and answer questions.
