This week, we welcome Danielle Carnes. She serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Peoria Home. Danielle is also the Executive Director of Strategic Enrollment Management for Edmonds Community College where she helps to position the college for optimal enrollments through trend analysis, strategic initiatives, and project management.

Peoria Home’s Mission is to provide sanctuary and support for women survivors of sex trafficking and prostitution. They support women growing individually and reclaiming their freedom while living in community.

Peoria Home is a 2-year residential recovery program for women exploited through sex trafficking, prostitution and addiction. Peoria’s residential program provides long-term secure housing as a haven from the social, psychological and economic factors that drive women to desperate means for survival.

Danielle will talk about the need for services here locally, and provide some basic education about sex trafficking.

Located in north Everett, Peoria Home serves women in Snohomish County and beyond. They just opened their first home in 2017 and as an organization, had their 5th annual “Beacon of Hope” benefit event last week. They currently support 3 residents.
